I found my voice as a playful, socially-engaged artist in Falmouth, where I spent three years studying Fine Art, making live art, walkabout characters, happenings and films. In 2017 I studied MA Early Years Education with EYTS at Sussex University, researching ways to be musical with- rather than to- young children. I have since been awarded an arts council grant to develop my practice devising embodied, attunement-based playscapes with and for babies and toddlers. I collaborated with musician Charly Jolly and Magic Acorns CIC to develop Roly Poly, a musical playscape for under twos and their families, which will tour Libraries, Family Hubs and theatres throughout Suffolk in October 2024. I am a trained Contakids facilitator. I'm currently seeking nursery settings in the Brighton area who would be interested in collaborating on future funding proposals to bring attunement play into their setting.
